Belonging to Canada’s Southeastern climate region, the Mixedwood Plains Ecozone has both characteristics of a continental and maritime climate. Cool, short winters and relatively long, mild summers are common in this ecozone. With winters resting at 7°C and summers hovering around 20°C, conditions are certainly comfortable to be in. Precipitation is abundant and regular, with a total precipitation of 700 to 1000 millimeters. Due to the overall mild weather and plentiful precipitation, this ecozone has a long growing season of 180 to 260 days, or six to nine months.
